I've noticed a rather obvious truth that many people overlook: Local AI that secretly sends data elsewhere is no longer truly local. Software that I can't verify can hardly be called private. And the phrase we will never misuse your data is… not really a privacy policy. That's why I'm quite interested in what @TheARCTERMINAL is doing. They approach it from a completely different angle: sensitive data simply doesn't need to leave the machine in the first place. The server doesn't need to see it, and doesn't have the opportunity to see it. It sounds simple, but that's what I think about when talking about true privacy. For me, this is what it feels like to have sovereign AI.
