Founders Fund 完成史上最大规模募资，募集 60 亿美元
ChainCatcher 消息，据市场消息，硅谷顶级投资人彼得·蒂尔（Peter Thiel）旗下风投基金 Founders Fund 已募集 60 亿美元，用于投资后期阶段公司，这也是该机构历史上规模最大的一次募资。
其中大部分资金——45 亿美元——来自有限合伙人，包括主权财富基金。一位知情人士表示，其余 15 亿美元来自 Founders Fund 的高层管理人员及员工，包括 Peter Thiel 本人。该基金的第四支成长期投资基金在前一支基金推出不到一年后便迅速完成组建，这是 Founders Fund 二十年历史中更换新基金最快的一次。
如此快速推出更大规模基金，反映出成熟阶段初创公司对巨额融资需求正在上升，这些公司越来越倾向于从私人投资者而非公开市场筹资。其他风投机构也在为后期投资筹集数十亿美元资金，部分原因是科技公司需要更多资金来负担昂贵的计算资源。例如，Sequoia Capital 近期为新基金募集约 70 亿美元，用于加大对大型公司的投资；Thrive Capital 也筹集了一支规模达 100 亿美元的基金，为其历史最大规模。
