.@StartaleApp, one of @StartaleGroup's daaps, really interests me. They announced they've chosen Privacy Boost as their Official Privacy Partner. Now users can shield their balance, make private transfers without revealing the amount or partner, and soon they'll be adding private payment flows. Everything is still self-custodial, runs incredibly fast on Soneium, uses a hybrid ZK + TEE, and maintains compliance when needed. 01. ZK (Zero-Knowledge Proofs) is a technology that proves something is true without revealing details. For example, you can prove "I have enough money to transfer" and the recipient or anyone watching on-chain won't know how much you have, who you transferred it to, or how much. It's super private, but pure ZK is usually slow and resource-intensive (proof generation takes a long time). 02. TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) is a type of "hardware-sealed room" (like Intel SGX or similar). The code runs inside a secure enclave, the data is tightly locked, even the host server or hackers can't read it. It's incredibly fast and easy to integrate, but relying entirely on the hardware still carries a small risk. Hybrid ZK + TEE combines both: ZK handles the "mathematical proof" and maintains absolute confidentiality. TEE handles the "speed and practical execution" (fast processing, easy deployment). Proof generation is under 500ms (as fast as a regular app). Proof generation is under 1,800 transactions per second. It's still 100% self-custodial (you keep the private key). It has selective audit (when compliance with the law is required, a portion can still be opened for auditing, not always revealing everything). Privacy Boost uses this method to achieve true privacy, speed comparable to Web2 apps, and legality for ordinary users. This is also why Startale chose them as their Official Privacy Partner, because pure ZK is too slow, and pure TEE isn't private enough. Now, shield balance, private transfers, and later private card spending all run smoothly on Soneium. The statement in the announcement made me nod in agreement: “Every user should have the choice to protect their onchain activity.” I see Startale App becoming a popular onchain super app for users, allowing them to play, earn, and have their privacy protected from A to Z. This move is very clever. If you haven't tried it yet, go test it out now: #StartaleApp #Soneium
